I stopped for brunch at Malibu Farm in Seaport Village and ordered the green scramble, eggs mixed with spinach, ricotta cheese and a broccoli puree, served with bacon and my choice of side. It’s a farm-to-table California kitchen, and the plate tasted like it. Bright greens, creamy ricotta, nothing heavy.
The restaurant sits right on San Diego Bay, and I grabbed an outdoor table with a clear view of the water. Even in the middle of Seaport Village, the patio felt calm and a bit secluded, more like a quiet pocket than a busy tourist stop. If you’re walking the waterfront and want to eat outside without the crowds, this is a solid pick.
I was working that day, so I skipped the cocktails, but the list looked worth coming back for. There’s a solid range, from mezcal and tequila-based specialty cocktails to a full zero proof lineup, so it’s an easy spot to stop by for drinks alone too.
Good food, good view, good spot to slow down for an hour.
