I visited Haunt Manor in Niagara Falls, Ontario, during my spooky road trip, and it was a great night. We laughed, we screamed, and we got a couple of really good jump scares.

It starts with a hayride

The night kicks off on the tractor-pulled haunted hayride. It sets the mood right away, rolling you out into the dark toward the manor while the story of the property unfolds around you. For 2026 the theme is The Condemned, a manor sealed shut after rituals failed to rid the home of a grim presence. It is a theatrical way to ease into the night, and it gets you in the right headspace before the haunted houses begin.

The scare actors are the stars

What stood out most for me is that there were no animatronics. It is all live performers, and they are very good. They know when to hold back, when to appear out of nowhere and how to time a scare so it actually lands. A couple of those jump scares got me properly, which is exactly what I want from a haunt.

What to expect

Haunt Manor turns a Niagara Falls farm setting into a Halloween destination, pairing the hayride with themed haunted houses, outdoor trails, live performers and atmospheric scare zones. The 2026 lineup includes The Condemned Hayride and Haunted House, Trick or Treat, the Harvest Hollow Cedar Maze, the Horror Legends Bayou Trail, Dark Diner, Night Feast Haunted Nursery, Redsaw Lab and Clown World. More than 100 actors and performers bring it all to life, and there is a midway with food, drinks and stage shows too.

The last haunt of the night is the three level barn, a great finale. While you wait in line to go in, you can stop for a souvenir photo.

Plan ahead for a few things:

  • Advanced reservations are required, and tickets are capped and sell out.
  • The attraction recommends arriving at least one hour before closing to get through.
  • It runs on select nights from October 2 to 31, 2026, so check the schedule before you go.

My verdict

If you like your scares performed by real people rather than machines, Haunt Manor delivers. A fun haunt with great actors and a couple of memorable jump scares. I would go back.
