If you have ever done Medieval Times and had a good time, Pirates Voyage is basically that same idea, except the horses are swapped for full sized pirate ships and the joust happens across a fifteen foot deep indoor lagoon. It is Dolly Parton’s dinner theater concept, built entirely around swashbuckling, and it delivers exactly what the name promises.

The premise

Two crews, Crimson and Sapphire, face off in an evening long battle for sunken treasure, with sword fights, pyrotechnics, aerial acrobatics, and even sea lion appearances worked into the storyline. It sounds like a lot happening at once, and it is, but that is the entire point. You are not there for subtlety, you are there for spectacle, and it delivers on that front the whole night.

The dinner part

This is a genuine four course meal, not a side note to the show. Creamy vegetable soup, roasted chicken, buttery corn, and a dessert pie, plus unlimited soft drinks, tea, or coffee, all served while the action unfolds in front of you. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available if you mention it when booking. Getting there early is worth it
